Our December Symphony Concert will include:

Dreams of a youth are featured here in a world premier: Giampiero Bugliarello composed as a young man but then shelved it until returning to Italy during Covid. This joyful orchestration of his exploration of the playfulness and roller coaster of the emotions of this poignant time are showcased, with the composer at the piano!
Our concert will open with Rossini’s Overture to The Siege of Corinth, an opera commemorating the 1826 siege of Missolonghi by the Turks in the Greek War of Independence, followed by Rossini’s operatic melodies woven in orchestration by Respighi to a vibrant ballet, La Boutique fantasque: a bustling marketplace in which toys from a magical toy shop cavort in a whirlwind of mischief.
Finally our concert concludes with the iconic and beloved American classic, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring the dynamic cultural landscape of the 20th century United States. We welcome Giampiero Bugliarello to the piano!
